Diane and I watching “The Aeronauts” this evening, complete with her expertly-produced popcorn. A grand, heart-pounding tale of danger and Victorian science; the storytelling, special effects, directing, photography – all first rate. I had no idea until the credits rolled that actual events inspired it.
Of course, when you see “Inspired by a true story” you know it’s been jazzed up a bit. And indeed it was, so watch the movie for enjoyment, and then read:
